Overview

Protein identification assays allow you to identify 10, 100 or more proteins in nearly any sample type which contains protein. Via our online data portal you receive a list of proteins identified. You can drill down to the peptide level to view identified peptides, including post-translational modifications. You can even view the actual tandem mass spectra used to identify each peptide. All of the data presented online is easily downloaded.

We have leveraged the incredible speed (up to 40 sequencing events per second) and sensitivity of Thermo's newest mass spectrometer, the Q-Exactive HF-X, to offer unprecedented pricing.

  • ID: up to the 10 most abundant protein groups (redundant isoforms do not count to this total)
  • Specifications: UPLC-MS/MS, 15 cm column, up to 15,000 sequencing events
  • Suggested sample types: minimally complex samples where the identity of the most abundant protein needs to be determined

Protein Identification, 100 Proteins

  • Assay:

    Protein Identification, Top 100

  • ID: up to the 100 most abundant protein groups (redundant isoforms do not count to this total)
  • Specifications: UPLC-MS/MS, 15 cm column, up to 15,000 sequencing events
  • Suggested sample types: minimally complex samples where the identity of the most abundant proteins needs to be determined

Protein Identification, Unlimited

  • Assay:

    Protein Identification, In-gel, Unlimited

  • ID: all detectable protein groups
  • Specifications: UPLC-MS/MS, 15 cm column, up to 15,000 sequencing events
  • Suggested sample types: gel bands from separations of complex samples

Sample Requirements

  • In-gel samples should:

    • contain at least 1 ng or more of total protein
    • be polyacrylamide gel
    • be sized from 1 x 1 x 1 mm to a maximum of 5 x 5 x 1 mm, do not shred
    • be stained with a MS-compatible gel stain, or be unstained
  • Non-gel samples should:

    • contain at least 1 ng or more of total protein
    • be in-solution or in a soluble matrix
    • ideally be less than 100 uL in volume, but no greater than 1.5 mL, a handling charge applies to larger volumes
